STORY:
Juna was just an ordinary high-school girl, right up until the day she died in a motorcycle accident. But there, in the twilight of death, she saw the future of the barren earth destroyed by the Raaja, and was offered a second chance at life if she would stop them. Now she must learn to cast aside her thoughtlessly destructive ways and face her destiny as the Avatar of Time, the one being who can decide the fate of the planet.

Juna era uma garota normal... até o dia em que morreu em um acidente de moto. Mas ali, no crepúsculo da morte, ela viu a verdadeira face da terra e também seu, até então, inevitável futuro: a Terra está sendo e será destruida pelos Raaja, personificações do desrespeito ao ambiente. Para evitar isso, lhe é oferecida uma segunda chance para viver e impedi-los. Agora, sob o título de Avatar do Tempo, Juna tem de combater os Raaja e assim decidir o fututo do planeta.
Earth Girl Arjuna é uma excelente e profunda animação, sendo uma crítica à destruição do meio ambiente, e a vida rotineira das pessoas que actuam como robôs. A crítica em defesa ao Meio Ambiente inclui Poluição, uso abusivo de pesticidas, energia nuclear, pesquisas genéticas realizadas sem princípios morais, alimentação incorrecta, dependência química, entre outros.
